hannibal in s1: lays out and pulls off an extremely complicated scheme that involves the careful manipulation of multiple different parties, including a bunch of highly trained FBI agents
hannibal in s2: manages a couple more schemes, but they frequently experience significant hiccups that catch him off guard and send him reeling. overall on top of things but less so
hannibal in s3:
This is a complete mischaracterization! Hannibal was in complete control at all times and did many useful things in s3, such as:
– making little heart origamis
– making big flesh heart. put in churchy. will seey.
– talking sadly to bedelia about forgiveness, like e.g. how does one go about it when he’s been led to believe someone loved him and then betrayed, or could a stabbed person hypothetically forgive a stabber person asking for a friend
– flirting with European Will
– watching will sadly from a balcony
– watching will sadly in the shadows
– talking sadly to bedelia about how sad bitches just fall in love sometimes and even they can’t help it I GUESS
– putting will in lil’ pajamas and tucking him into bed
– getting unceremoniously dumped
– doing the thing he wanted to do less in life ever, aka getting arrested
– throwing a shitty pick-up line from the driver’s seat of a stolen police car at his own husband, on the way to possible death
– just straight up being ok with being thrown off a cliff to his virtually certain death, like not even fucking caring
OP is just erasing all these many ways in which Hannibal was a useful cannibal in s3!
