While it still seems that every girl under the age of 16 is still dangerously hypnotised by the antics of X Factor-created boy band One Direction, they’ve not gone down so well with some of their musical peers.
After Jake Bugg recently told us he thought they were “terrible”, Noel Gallagher has now shared his distaste for the hugely popular quintet.
In fact, at the Brits he was sitting with his old Blur rival Damon Albarn and the two made sure the youngsters were well and truly aware of their feelings.
“We both got f*cking roaring drunk and told One Direction to f*ck off in unison, which was funny” Gallagher tells us in this week’s magazine.
He also showed dismay at their award-winning success.
“Prancing up and down singing a Blondie song and getting an award for it,” he sighed. “Nice lads though they might be, f*ck off. Which is exactly what we told them. It’s turning into the grand finale of The X Factor, which is exactly what Simon Cowell wants.

In case there was any doubt, Noel Gallagher isn’t a fan of One Direction.
The outspoken ex-Oasis rocker revealed his very candid thoughts about the boy-banders in a recent interview with British GQ, during which he called them “f–king idiots.”
“F–king idiots. Bless ‘em. Bless ‘em, but f–k ’em at the same time,” he said, calling their catalog “banal pop music."
“Everybody’s winning out of it. One Direction aren’t working in the local f—ing Costcutter, so they’re winning,” he said. "The geezer who’s writing the f–king s–t tunes — he’s winning.
He doesn’t even have to leave the studio. He’s got f–king new houses coming out of his ear holes. The record company are winning ’cause they’re all getting their f–king bonuses at Christmas. The young 12-year-old girls are winning because one day they might actually grow up to give one of them a blow job.”

One Direction would also be wrong to think they were safe from the witty Mancunian, whose main problem is with acts who don’t write their own songs.
He added: “They’re lovely lads. But I’ve got to say, I have difficulties with people who don’t write their own songs, who’ve got a team of songwriters who work for your record label.”

Former Oasis band member Noel Gallagher told HuffPost Live on Friday that he “cannot wait” for One Direction’s upcoming album, which will apparently sound “a bit Oasis-y,” according to 1D’s Liam Payne. In a conversation with host Alyona Minkovski about his second solo album, “Chasing Yesterday,” Gallagher addressed Payne’s claim. “Honestly, I cannot wait to listen to what their version of ‘Oasis-y’ means,” he said. But, “What if it’s brilliant though?” Gallagher said. “What if it’s amazing?” Regardless, Gallagher didn’t hesitate to admit that he “doesn’t mind One Direction. They’re harmless, aren’t they?”

Hmmm…he seems to have toned it down a bit. No bragging about dissing them. No overt insults (still kinda shady though). But no shade to their fans. And no shade to their team. Who or what could have swayed the notoriously grouchy Noel to swerve on a golden opportunity to hardcore diss 1D again? And only a short 2 months after his last diss? Not to mention the headline was written in a pro 1D way, which seems to be a first when it comes to Noel Gallagher vs One Direction. I just thought that was interesting.
