And on that note Sam and Liam definitely have talked about gender fluidity, there’s no way they haven’t? At the absolute bare minimum Liam knows about non binary as a concept and accepts it as valid. That’s the utter lowest bar that Liam has passed. Realistically Liam probably discussed what role gender has played in his own life and only deepened his friendship with Sam and if asked directly would publicly support trans rights unconditionally. Hopefully Sam got Liam to question a little bit 🙂
here’s a recap because i hecking love this whole thing
sam smith comes out as genderfluid, says “i feel just as much woman as i am man” and when asked if they feel like a cis man sam said “no” very clearly
sam and liam become close friends very quickly
sam wears a shirt that says “attitude of a man, essence of a woman” and people are screaming because it’s like a statement about their gender
and not too long after this, liam wear a shirt from the same collection with the exact same phrase
to quote you nonnie i’d say GENDER FLUID LIAM RISES BITH!!
Just caught up to watching Liam’s portrait drawing interview with KISS FM UK, and I’m just :’) Some of the commenters on YouTube are surprised he could draw so well, but I’m not, not at all. And seeing him worrying about all the same things I fret over, makes me feel indescribable warmth! So much so, in fact, I am moved to write a (silly) analysis!
You can tell Liam Payne really has a drawing habit, from his quick absorption to the task, his foremost concern about ratios in anatomy, and his conscious division of linework styles between a careful style and a sketch style.
Witness him so serious in his quest to find the ratio for optimal nipple placing. He KNOWS. 😂 It is no small task. Precise placement is so important. A right nip can stare right into the viewer’s soul as piercingly as a well-drawn eye. You heard it from me.
And in this case? He didn’t even draw the eyes. A bold and calculated stylistic move that makes the single visible nipple a haunting focal point. He didn’t even draw a mouth. It’s as if the nipple is the one speaking into the microphone.
Even though Liam was rushed in the end, he was perfectionistic enough to complete the whole image, not neglecting details such as the how the cushions were squashed under the interviewer’s weight. The sofa in reality had a flat back, but he defied that rendered it curved up a little, a choice just enough to counterbalance the downward curve of the interviewer, making the the composition more flattering.
For years, it seemed unanimous in the AUs the fandom drew or wrote, that out of the boys it was Zayn who’s most suited to be the painter/artist. Perhaps having or not having drawing ability might seem like a harmless stereotype, but it can be rooted with things not so trivial – in Liam’s case, the perpetuation of his image by some as uncultured, dull, illiterate, having a disposition at odds with something like drawing. I hope that the surprise to his skill may inspire a reevaluation of his character as well, and a stronger appreciation of his sensitivity, kindness, and creativity.

I have seen so many liam ‘stans’ call liam ugly over the last few days, I’ve seen people photoshop his selfies so they look ‘better’ and drag him for not growing his hair out and I’d just like to let y’all know, you’re all really shitty people and you don’t deserve Liam and never will. If you have such an issue with the way he looks which has literally nothing to do with his incredible talent, y’all can just go because he deserves better than awful fans.
