TO FUNCTION BEST INTPs NEED:
Freedom to work independently. Opportunities to design, problems to solve. Intellectual variety and support for their ideas. Positive feedback, recognition, and a reason for what they are doing.
INTPs ARE FRUSTRATED BY:
Being told what to do and how to do things. Unintelligent demands. Routine and redundancy. Overly emotional responses.
INTPs IRRITATE OTHERS BY:
Appearing arrogant and not communicating. Hurting others’ feelings. Skepticism and hair-splitting. Refusing to deal with details and a lack of execution.
INTPs VALUE:
Concepts, intelligence, and ingenuity.

One of the few bottlenecks that INTPs impose upon themselves is their restless fear of possible failure. No other personality type worries that much about missing a piece of the mental puzzle or overlooking some crucial fact that might lead to a better solution. Unlike their more confident INTJ or ENTJ cousins, INTPs could spend ages reflecting on their actions.
If I could focus my fairly considerable brain power on something productive consistently, I’d be a genius. But I can’t, so I’m not.
had to be done.
INFJ: I’m getting sick of running my blog. Six months is a long time.
INTP: You’ve been running the blog for six months?
INFJ: No. Those were two separate thoughts. Should have been period. Paragraph. Six months is a long time period. Paragraph. My god I’m talking like an E.E. Cummings poem. Question mark. Exclamation. Comma, comma, comma!
INTP: Chameleon.
