You know those stories of pets that travelled hundreds of miles to find their owners?

I want a fic in which Winston escapes from Molly’s house and goes on a quest to find Will. It switches between Winston’s adventures and Will and Hannibal in the Cabin in the Woods™ making plans to move to Cuba when they’re fully healed. And the tension is all about whether poor Winston can find them before they leave.

And of course just before Will and Hannibal leave, Winston shows up and runs onto the boat like it’s the most natural thing in the world.

Winston LEAPS off of the dock, to try to get in the boat, misses, hits the water, there is a storm, he’s not going to make it, its been MONTHS of searching and he’s going to lose Will at JUST the last minute, possibly die too, itll be nearly impossible for him to get back to shore from here

Just as Will realizes its Winston he’s seeing, the word ‘WINSTON??’ has barely left his mouth, and already Hannibal has lept out of the boat, is using the most terrifyingly perfect, fast-as-fuck butterfly stroke, has Winston on his chest and back strokes back to the boat again almost before Will even knows what the hell is happening

Winston gets pushed up to Will, and Hannibal follows after a moment later, smoothly taking over steering while Will has a tearful reunion on the floor

something something ‘because i took so much from you already, Will, but this one thing i could save/ could give you back’

(which doesnt count because dogs arent people, but to WILL dogs are better than people anyways)

@ishxallxgood imagine buster hopping behind Winston as fast his little legs could carry him to get to favourite human

When Hannibal met Will in Jack’s office that first time, what was he hoping to accomplish with his LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR BONE ARENA, GUY I JUST NOW MET line of socializing?

Was he trying to annoy Will a little? Get him off balance? Push him to see what he was like when personal boundaries were crossed?

Did he think for some reason Will would respond well to that kind of conversation?

Or did he go in there with little to no expectation at all, no real plan, and just kind of lost track of himself as soon as he met that fluffy grump that smelled of Old Spice and dogs?

I mean, ostensibly he was there for Jack, to suss out Will, but I’m talking about his own reasons

I honestly think all of these are true. He wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to get on the good side of the lead guy hunting him. He wanted to size up this weird dude everybody’s talking about and Alana knows but won’t talk about. He is of course going to be Hannibal and play it all by ear. He wants to actually learn how Will works. And once he discovers he quite like how Will works, he wants Will to know he understands him more deeply and immediately than anybody else ever has, despite Will putting up forts left and right. 

He probably pushed a little too hard for a first date, which is why he needed to gift wrap a crime scene to get the second date.  

When you come on too strong by sending a dick pic right away so next time you gift wrap that dick

A few days ago, I could not sleep and listening to “Exit wounds” by The Script I thought about this Hannibal scene and how well the lyrics went with it. I had no better idea than grabbing the pencil at 4am 😅
